Warboys – Biomass CHP and Waste Water Treatment Plant

Sycamore Planning Ltd are currently seeking planning permission for the construction of a Biomass CHP Plant on land adjacent to an existing landfill site and Materials Recycling Facility. It is anticipated that planning permission will be received in late 2018 and construction will start in early 2019. The plant will process up to 48,000 tonnes of waste wood per annum some of which will be sourced from the adjacent Materials Recycling Facility and will produce a combination of heat and electricity enough to power the facility ‘off-grid’ and to provide renewable heat to an adjacent Waste Water Treatment Facility.

The Waste Water Treatment Facility will utilise renewable heat from the adjacent Biomass CHP Plant to treat up to 65,000 tonnes per annum of waste water sourced from a range of industrial sources.
